Install Spoke Right and start practicing pronunciation.
Installation
Download Spoke Right from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Requires iOS 16+ or Android 8+.
Sign In
Sign in with your SpokeDo account. Starter credits are included.
Practice Modes
Spoke Right offers two ways to practice:
Record Mode
Free practice — enter any text and record yourself speaking it.
- Go to the Practice tab
- Select Record Mode
- Type or paste the text you want to practice
- Tap Record and speak the text
- Wait for the analysis results
Express Mode
Quick practice without specifying reference text — the app transcribes your speech and analyzes pronunciation quality.
Your First Analysis
After recording:
- Audio is uploaded to Supabase Storage (M4A format)
- A speaking attempt is created in the database
- Deepgram analyzes the pronunciation
- Results arrive via polling (checked every 2 seconds, up to 3 minutes)
- View your score, word-level feedback, and phoneme analysis
Understanding Your Score
- Overall Score (0–100): Combined pronunciation quality rating
- Accuracy Score: How closely your pronunciation matches the expected sounds
- Word-level Feedback: Each word highlighted by pronunciation accuracy
- Phoneme Analysis: Specific sounds that need improvement
